VAW (Visual Art Week – Mexico City) is part of the official calendar of activities of the United Nations and UNESCO within the framework of the celebrations of the “Year of Light and Light-based Technologies”.

The clearing in front of the Atrio de San Francisco, in Mexico, in Torre Latino America, hosted WIDE/SIDE, an artwork by the Portuguese artist João Martinho Moura. WIDE/SIDE is an interactive sculpture in which form, image and sound intertwine; on large volume shape that serves as a canvas on which different images are projected, these in turn react to the publics movements by means of intelligent devices that capture them, turning the body’s gestures into creative agents.
